I have recently ordered my Savage BAS-K and want to know if there is anyone else who owns one that can tell me if the rear rail has a built in 20 MOA of elevation. I'm looking at rings for the scope I've ordered and need to know if I should get the rings that have 20 MOA of elevation built into them. If the rails already have me covered then I can go with regular rings.

I believe the rail is 20moa from the factory.Check with Savage to make sure.

I'm sure you will enjoy shooting it,I got to shoot both the BAS-K 308 & 338 Lapua at our local range a couple months ago and enjoyed both rifles.

I got the chance to fire the .308 at a range during an open house and fell in love with it. It was such a nice gun from the smooth operation of the action to the amazing sound and very little recoil. I've done A LOT of reading on the .308 model and I've found the consensus is that it's an amazing rifle out of the box and is capable of great accuracy even at long distances. "Best bang for the buck" in that for what you pay it's well worth every penny both in functionality and fun factor.

Edit: the review online is for the 110 BA not the BAS/K or BAT/S-K so the review stating there is 20 MOA machined into the rail is for the .300 win mag or the .338 Lapua.

Still looking for someone with a BAS/K or a BAT/S-K that can tell me if there's 20 MOA machined into the rail.

If the 110 has a 20moa rail,the 10 will also have one.

You could always call Savage and just ask them.

Well the Burris rings I've purchased come with the "zero" inserts and another set which add 20 MOA of elevation. So regardless of the rail I will be able to choose which inserts to use.
