Yeah I got to look at one yesterday and the first thing I noticed was how cheap the stock felt. I guess if I find one in .308 on sale I might consider one for myself other than that I think I'll just build another mauser in .308 when the itch gets to be too much. I told him what I thought of it so I guess he can make up his own mind.

Well I just seen an ad for a local place that has them on sale so I might go get one tomarrow. Need to decide on caliber. .223 .22-250 or .308. Will be used mostly as a beater gun to put on the back of the 4wheeler and go looking for coyote and groundhogs. I have a 22-250 and everything setup to reload it but I'v kinda allways wanted a .308.

If that is the case, I will suggest you check Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard next.

Keeping value and "it is what it is" in mind, it's a great deal IMO. Mine in 243 shoots SUB MOA at 100 yards and is comfortable to shoot despite the stock feeling a bit anemic. Click below for written report and video. Would past in but it's long and that would seem obnoxious.

Well I went and got the lastone they had in 22-250 yesterday. They had a used 110 and 12 both with syn stocks and I was surprised that they didnt feel any better than the Axis. Range report to come if we ever get decent weather arround here. Side note. Somthing was rattling arround in the mag when I got it home and when I finaly got it out I found it was a spent primer??
