Default Savage 42

Heard anything about it? It looks sweet and I want one! It's an over under but the top barrel is .22 lr bottom is a .410.

Are you sure that is not a Model 24? Nice little combo guns. They were made in various asortments of .410, 20 and 12, of 22LR, 22 Mag. 22 Hornet, .223, 30-30 and 357 Mag. Started making them back about 1950 or so.

You're right but they brought recently possibly this year. It's now called the model 42. It also comes in 22mag if you want it instead of 22lr.

Jury's out. I'm still waiting to see if I need to get one of these new-fangled things but would definitely get a .22 Mag version when they produce something bigger than .410.

Yeah there's not much info on it but id pick one up in the 22 mag!!... if POA isn't too difficult to establish between barrels/calibers

Saw that on their website yesterday. Definitely want two, one in .22 LR and the other .22 Mag.
