Savage .300 Win Mag
M looking for a savage 300 wm with a heavy barrel, accutrig, accustock, black syn, stainless or matte barrel. Do any of you guys know if the 2011 or 2012 line up have anything close to the 110 FCP-K in .300. Thanks!

Have you tried using the Gun Finder on the Savage web site? They had what you're looking for until I clicked on the heavy barrel.
The rifle below is the only heavy barrel 300 Win Mag they're showing.

This is a great idea. The Savage web site is where I found the model I wanted. I went with the 10 FLP. I had a friend with an FFL order it for me. The web site will show all they have to offer.

Thanks guys for your info. Gun finder only shows a Long Range Hunter in .300 that is close so I contacted the savage custom shop and they are going to build me a 110 FCP-K and I'm having them shorten the barrel from 24" to 22" to ease in handling the firearm and lightening it just a fuzz. I hope it docent hurt the accuracy but I will keep you guys posted when I get it put together with a Nightforce NSX 5.5-22x56 and get it broke it.

You will loose some velocity cutting the barrel 2",but it will still be accurate.
You really don't gain any weight savings doing that,a few ounces.I'd leave it at 24".
Savage probably still has some left over 300WM Model 12 stainless steel barrels. They are 26" long, but they are fluted and weigh less than the non-fluted 24" matte blued barrels.
Effie Sullivan is the best person at Savage to talk to when dealing with the Custom Shop.

I agree, I would not shorten the barrel. The weight loss will be negligible. If you haven't already shortened it, I would recommend you leave it alone.
