Default Savage 24

Hello all, I have come into ownership of a Savage 24 Series P .22 lr/ 20 gauge over under combo. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these? Also, an estimated value of the piece would be nice as well.

I got this from my Mother-in-Law's brother's estate when he passed away.

Shouldn't this be in the Shotgun Forum?

It belongs in shotguns as much as it does rifle.

OP.
around here, I've been seeing them priced at $300 for good condition.

Why do you feel it necessary to list your guns?

Considering its a .22 long rifle AND a 20 Gauge Shotgun ... should post it in both?

Thanks, I have it listed on Gunbroker.com for more than that because I had seen some similar for around $450... but I wanted to get some other opinions.

It is a rifle and a shotgun on one frame. It could go in either thread. Very nice little guns. Savage came out with a new version. Yours is probably the most practical. Savage made them up to 30-30/12 gauge. Not really valuable but not cheap either. Depending on condition and venue, it would go $200-$400. Very much liked for survival guns.

Find my .22 Mag/20 ga. an ideal combination conceptually but long and heavy. Hoping the Model 42 comes out in those...

many of us have owned them but most no longer have them. they are a great idea that just isn't very practical in actual use. I have seen them sold for $400 but I can not imagine why. most sell for $300 or less.

Judging by the barrel length, that looks like that might be a Camper. Does it have a fold out cover in the other side of the butt plate for ammo storage?
