I got to shoot the Savage 110 BA in 300 WM & 338 Lapua as well as several other new Savage models a few months ago,at the local range.

The Savage reps told me to shoot all i wanted, and I did.I put about a box of ammo thru each one that I shot.

The 338 shot really well, but unless you just have to have it for bragging rights, the 300 WM will serve you much better, and be a whole lot less expensive to shoot.
I've been known to put over 200rds of 300 WM down range in a day,and I wouldn't be able to afford shooting the 338 Lapua that much, and I load all of my ammo.

HEEEEEEEL of a round. I was at the Sig Academy shooting a demo on 90 lb. Steel Targets at 300 yards and it was knocking the targets down with the steel stands attached. Until George Harris Range Master and Head Instructor for Sig who told me to shoot them, told me to stop!!!! What power they have! What are you going to use it for?

Is George still an azz hole? He was my armorers instructor and had A-H in neon on his forehead.

In life, strive to take the high road....It offers a better field of fire.

I picked one up a few months ago. I've only put about 30 or so rounds through it but I love . Only gotten it out to 200 yards but I've been really happy with the accuracy.

I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.
