Default Santa Barbara 6MM Houston tx

I have a Santa Barbara 6MM Houston tx and was wondering if any one knew any thing about it I took it to a gun smith once and he offered me $1100 for it but after I said no he wouldn't tell me anything about it
Also i cant find 6mm round anywhere if someone could help me i would realy appreciate it
By the way im new to this forum an ya'll have a great thing going here

From other inquiries I surmise the actions were imported and rifles assembled by a gunsmith in Houston in the late 60's to early 70's. Apparently the smith has a good reputation, hence the high offer. I do not know who the smith was. He is likely no longer walking amongst us.

Santa Barbara is/was a well respected name/city in Spain. Santa Barbara is to Spanish guns what Toledo is to Spanish blades. I do not know if these were Spanish made Mauser actions, but that would be a pretty good presumption.

A few photos and maybe post any markings on the weapon would help in finding out about this.
