Default Sako AV bolt problem

I recently inherited this rifle from brother in law. I took bolt out to clean and now can not replace. This is my first Sako, I know where bolt release is located and how it operates but it seems that the bolt gets to a certain point and will not go any further. If anyone has experience with the rifle or can provide tips for replacing bolt please advise! *********Bolt had become "decocked" if you will, was able to rotate rear of bolt and it slid home w/o further ado!

I'm not familiar with Sako, but most bolt actions you have to pull the trigger back along with the release to remove or install the bolt. Hope this helps you.
