Its a very smooth rifle i wouldnt say its better than a 700 but i have my 700 in .308 so i cant really compare. Put some good glass on it and youll love it. They also send you a free shell holder/cheek riser. But make sure you break it in properly to seat that nut. Idk i like it..but its my first 30/06 if you dont count my garand that i never shoot :/
havent seen one in person. but ive never had a high opinion of ruger centerfire bolt guns.
