Default Ruger No1 303brit owners?

Any of you fellas got a Number 1 in the old British?

hows yours perform an wat do you feed through it?

I have one but have only shot 40 factory Highland 150gr thru it to test.

I have found that 180 gr. rounds shoot the best !............

ohhh heck yes it is!!!

I had great open sight accuracy with 150! im goin to try 180s soon an decide which to reload.
Im using it as a open sight sit n wait/stalking thick bush .308

haha Same mate! seen it on the shelf at the LGS an had to have it.

its been sitting in the Safe since that week, as i planned on gettin a No1 in my older years.

Are they .308 or 762x51? Can you safely use .308 if they are 762x51?

Nah they are .312 mate, There was a bit of hype regarding the Bore size that Ruger chose to use, but i dont think its as much of an.issue as first made out to be..

if you reload you can get 210-220 grain bullets, in canada the 303 enfield with the 210+ gr bullet is a favorite [or at least was a decade or two ago] for moose and big bears.
