Ruger M77 Hawkeye in 300 Win Mag

Has anyone had any experience with the Ruger Hawkeye rifles?

Yes I have a hawkeye in 25-06 and I do hunt with it regularly it's a little on the heavy side with the beefed-up barrel and receiver and the bolt is not as smooth as my Remington 700.But the accuracy and flat shooting make up for all that.I can group 1 1/2 INCH at 200 yard with a 117 grain bullit at 3100 fps.

I have the slightly older m77 mk2 in 300 win mag. After accurizing it & working up a load for it, it's extremely accurate. In fact, I harvested a 5x6 bull elk last fall at 419 yards with it. The Hawkeye is the same thing as mine but with a better trigger out of the box. I can recommend it.

Have a Ruger Hawkeye (both all weather) in 7mm-08 & 7MM Rem Mag. Both rifles have taken a lot of yotes, hogs, and whitetails. Have not missed an game target yet. Can very easily drill bowling pins at 140 yards with the 7mm-08, have not tried with the 7 Rem Mag. I am sure I could get by just fine with the 7mm-08, but sure is fun to pull out the Rem Mag time to time. What more can you ask of a rifle? Next one will be a .375 Ruger African.
