Default Ruger American Rifle

I would like information on the Ruger American Rifle.

1) Is the bedding block screwed in at an angle or is it 90 degrease to the action?

2) Is it accurate?

3) How is the trigger, what kind of adjustment does it have?

4) How does it handle?

5) What kind of price are they asking?

I am looking for one in 223 and It is my understanding that it won't be out till February. I am in no hurry to get one. I am looking for a accurate cheap bolt action 223 for a project. I want to convert it to a 6mm X 45.

Thank you for any information that you can offer.

buds gun shop or Walmart has a fair price on the Ruger American. You can see buds prices and inventory online. The rest of the information you want is at Just about any modern rifle is more accurate than you are. The question is does the rifle fit your frame and will you get a lifetime of service from it.

I know I need practice but I am exceptionally happy with my ruger American in .308. It does have a flimsier stock than petty much anything in its price category but I took a chance because of its other features. I had to sand the stocks forend around the barrel to relieve contact points. Other than that I am very happy and was successful during whitetail season.
