Im trying to get some pros and cons on the ruger american rifles i found one in 308 which is exactly what i want i just dont know much about ruger firearms cause im more of an american made kinda guy

Ruger is American made. We have 4 Rugers and love them.

I do not know all of the history of Ruger but they are definitely American made now. Are you thinking of Luger guns carried by Germans maybe?

The Ruger American Rifle is an entry level hunting rifle. IMNSHO it is hands down the best entry level hunting rifle on the planet. The Remington 770 is junk the savage is good but the Ruger American is a great gun for the price. It offers a few nice features like one piece bolt body where the lugs are machined out so it rides the action like a baby on buttered glass. The stock is of much better quality than the Savage or Remington offering.

They are 100% american made by proud Americans who take pride in what they produce.
