Default ruger 77 compact

hello , i am thinking of buying a new rifle and am considering the ruger compact in 270 or 308 . i am wondering of the accuracy of this shortened rifle . is the accuracy affected by the shorter liter barrel ?

Accuracy shouldn't suffer enough to notice over a std hunting rifle. What will happen is this. Shorter barrel means less velocity. Thin barrels heat up fast.
