Ruger .243 ?

A friend has a .243 Stevens 200 that shoots a ragged hole 4 shot group. It does open up after 4 rounds but never over 1 MOA. The recoil is almost unnoticeable. He paid $315 with a low end scope, new in box. He was going to upgrade the scope but decided not to because it is too accurate to mess with. It seems to like everything he puts down the tube. It did take a couple hundred rounds break in to get to the ragged hole but he loves it and so does his 13 year old daughter. It isn't pretty but its only a little over 6 lb. There is a very DIY trigger fix to make it nice. I have the same gun in .308 and it kicks pretty hard.
