I wanna join my buddy on the 200'-250' lines, he shoots a Remington 700. I thought about getting one for myself but I can't see myself spending $1 per round, thats out of the question.

A neighboring shooter was firing a Romanian PSL with surplus Bulgarian ammo. I asked him a few questions about it, from what he said it was completely stock and came as a package from custom arms or something like that. He swapped out the scope for something a little better and he was very satisfied, he was shooting decent groups at 250'.

I guess the question I'm ultimately asking is are there long range options (such as the ROMAK 3) that shoot "dirt cheap" surplus ammo in the $600-700 range? Also, what are your opinions on the PSL? Quality? Accuracy?

Not for nothing but I really liked the looks of it..it truley was an AK on steroids........it's tempting.
