All currently available Ar-15s are good. Some are better than others.

I have a Bushmaster "Dissapator" 16 inch barrel AR and I dearly love it. it's a great gun.

But it isn't even in the same league with my Colt 6940.

Like comparing a Chevy to a Mercedes. OTOH, if you can't afford a Mercedes, the Chevy will get you around town just fine.

So, as the saying goes, "you pays yer money and takes yer pick."

Problem w/the AR is they cost more than $110 even 30 years ago and have parts made with aluminum, chrome, and synthetics.

Seriously, "The Dissipator" front end is nifty but is still harsh on the action and has really been supplanted by the true midlength gas-systems in recent years for at least that good reason. The longer forearm (love the tapered) also makes prone firing much more comfortable (at least with a 20-round mag) and the bayo still actually fits -- lol!
