Any idea if i can shoot a target 100-200yrs with a 44 mag? Don't 44 mag have less stoping power? My concern is hitting a deer (in a critical hit area) and the bullet not having enough power to actually kill him. Thus making it suffer.

Out of all of these, which has good stopping power? I'm not hunting deer just for fun, i'm hunting
1. to learn to hunt
2. skin, field dress

.357 Magnum, .38-.40
Winchester, .41 Magnum, .41 Special, .44
Magnum, .44 Special, .44-.40 Winchester,
.45 Colt, .454 Casull, .458 SOCOM, .475
Linebaugh, .480 Ruger, .50 action Express,
and .500 S&
You can easily hit targets at 100 yards with a .44mag revolver let alone a rifle,ESPECIALLY with that Hornady 225gr Flextip ammo,200 should be no problem with a rifle.I would say .44 mag is going to be the best options out of your selection, either that or a good shotgun with a scope.
