Rifle actions?
 

Im looking at building a custom rifle, the only problem I am having is finding just the action of a rifle. I would prefer a remington or winchester action. It MUST be a magnum length action (300 wm, 7mm rm). If anyone knows of any websites that sell actions, please let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the 7mm RM fits nicely in a long action. The 300 WM takes a Magnum length action.

There are a ton of semi custom and full blown custom action makers out there. How much are you looking to spend?

Your other option is hit the gun shows and look for a cast off rifle that has a good action and buy it just for that. Have the owner take the scope and sling and anything else he wants off and just make a deal on the rifle knowing you are only buying the action.

That is how I got my pre-'64 Winchester for my first build.

The best way to get rifle actions are to get the whole rifle at a bargain price and strip it down. Tip-what I do is look for is a rifle (brand/model action that I want) that looks like it's been drug behind a truck & rusted. You're going to strip it/refinish for the action anyway and it's darn hard to hurt the action-even though the barrel may be rusted and the stock all messed up. In that way I've been able to obtain actions for 100-200$. Cruise the local pawn shops for bargains.
