THB, you have my cell, call me from the range and I'll post the update for you if you don't have computer access out there.

My fear is that you've ruined their weekends by making them wait for the update.

I've been sitting in front of this computer for three days waiting for an update. Haven't slept a wink in anticipation and what do I get for it?

...No update.

Default Here's your Dam* UPDATE,Fellas!!!!!

You guy's are killin me. You'd think a fella could take a little time for himself when he only gets a couple holidays off a year.I know you like me,but come on,give me a break!

Alright,Now that I vented,lets get to it.

I got a bunch of pics,so let me finish before you butt in.

I believe that the Tubb's Final finish bullets do just what they are supposed too,Help clean up the machining marks left by the factory tooling.
While it doesn't take out all of the tooling marks,it sure helps with problem Copper Fouling in this gun.
I loaded up some 100gr Sierra Gamekings,100gr Sierra Matchkings,115gr Nosler CT Ballistic Silvertips,117gr Hornady SST,and 120gr Hornady HP Interlock bullets to test after I shot all of the Tubb's Final Finish bullets.

I went to the range early this morning, and got there right when they opened. The parking lot was already about half full. There were a few spaces left at the 100 yard range, and since I shoot lefty,I usually have atleast a couple stations to choose from there.I setup and got to work.
First up was the 100gr Sierra Gamekings,I usually foul the bore with some factory ammo, but didn't take any with me today. These were loaded with Reloader 19,CCI 200 primers, and Remington brass.I only load 3 rds for my test loads, hence 3 shot groups.I expected a bad 1st group, being a clean bore, but didn't expect what the 2nd group shot-0.259"

After shooting these I went to the 115gr Nosler's.I cleaned the barrel before shooting them just to see if it had copper fouled much.To my surprise, not much in it.

The Nosler's haven't ever shot very good before. They do now!

I loaded these with Reloader 19 and IMR 4350
The first string was bad-clean bore, but the others were pretty darn good. The 2 best were 0.296" & 0.297" ,not bad for a long haired country boy.

The Reloader 19 loads,

Next was the IMR 4350 loads, they didn't shoot near as good as the RL19's,but there's a couple that'll work.

Now this gun hated these 117gr Hornady SST's before I shot the Tubb's bullets through it.I was lucky if it grouped them under 2".It kinda likes'em now.
I cleaned the bore again before I shot them, just to get the fouling from the moly Noslers out of the bore.
I loaded these with 4 types of powder-H4831,H4350,IMR4350,and Varget.I had a few that grouped well, the others are just so-so.

I'm just glad that this gun will shoot them ok now,and it doesn't fill up with copper like it used too.
