Ok I've decided against the scope being in front of the action....as I don't really like pistol scopes...I want to make this a hunting rifle specifically I've realized....later on down the road if I want a badass scout rifle I'll just buy a Steyr for it's ridiculous price.
So it looks like I will need to get a bend bolt handle and a side mount.
Might just go with the ATI one. What do you think?
Speaking of dumb stunts, today found an original inland M-1 Carbine at "Whittakers" in KY, s.e. of Evansville, that had been spray-painted green.
Too bad that the ignoramus had not sprayed a common Remngton, Winchester or Savage.
Of course people often have no intention of ever selling their guns.
