Default Remington repair books?

Where would be a good place to purchase repair manuals or books for a remington 742 & 7400? Is there a particular brand that I should choose over the other? Thanks for any help

Are you having a specific problem?

See if you can find a Gun Digest Assembly/Re-Assembly manual for Semi Automatic Rifles. They're available at gun shops and you may be able to find a used one somewhere as well. I have about a half dozen of the various manuals and they are invaluable.

yes the action seems to be binding during the first 1" when you grab the handle to pull it back. When I remove the fore stock and grab the rails it slides with no problem. I can use my finger tip to pull it back all the way if I stick my finger in from the bottom (with the trigger removed) and pull straight back. It is when you use the handle on the side only, it has actually started to hurt my finger.
