Default Remington model 700 stock?

I own a Remington model 770 and I know that it is suppose to be the lower quality, more affordable version of the 700. Just curious though,(for future possibilities) will a 700 stock mount to a 770 barrel? Thank you for their time.

Its not a more afordable 700 . Simple a cheaper rifle with remington stamped on it. Maybe this site will help show the many differences. http://www.realguns.com/articles/348.htm

Thanks. I've been wondering what all the differences between the two are. Good article. It didn't say anywhere that it was a cheap rifle with a Remington stamp on it. It did say that it is built in the same plants along with the all the other Remington's. I thought you were trying to say that it was designed and built in Korea or something and Remington sold it for them. Not the case. Any way. I had a specific question and the article answered it thank you.
