Check for the recall and have the fix completed and then shoot the heck out of it. I personally really prefer shorter, faster handling rifles and carbines.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”Samuel Adams

Thank you, I will check into it. I hesitate to send it in with a bad memory of sending in a Winchester 100 in for a firing pin recall. It was packed for shipping so well, I would not fear driving over it with a car. You guessed it UPS managed to break the stock. This was a pre 64 and had not been made in years with a checkered walnut stock. No clue where it came from, but the people doing the recall firing pin replacement had but on a brand new nicely figured stock at no charge. The downside is the pre 64s had hand checkered stocks and newer ones a stamped or carved type basket weave areas where the checkering used to reside. Would you believe it was less securely packed for it's return journey?
