Then you don't want a scope with really high power, you need a 3x9 or even smaller for up there. What range of target shooting?

Probably anywhere from 30 to 100 yards max.

I'm going to agree with Sniper95. Either a 3-9 or similar. I live out in the prairies of Canada and have a 2.5-10x and don't feel under powered, but I also won't be shooting past 200 yards at any live game.

So I should have just purchased the axis xp that comes with the bushnell scope. It's a 3x9x40

You could have but it is not a big deal, generally scopes that come with guns are cheap and useless.
