R u sure about that axxe? If u can hold the two side by side and u can see the diff in quality. The 783 is deff a lot better made. I have never shot a 770 but I do have a 783. I'm new at all this stuff but I think my 783 shoots awesome. It shoots smooth and at 200yds I'm happy with how I can shoot the gun. For my first rifle it's worked great for me.

actually i am pretty sure about what i say, unless i say otherwise, and i also said i had no experiance with the M783. so why would i badmouth it when i haven't even held or shot one? i beileve i said i hope it's an improvement over the M770.

and you have never shot a M770, so how can you make a comparison? how do you know if it's better or worse?

your first rifle? when you have owned and shot a few hundred rifles, then your statements or opinions might have some merit. you have nothing to make comparisons to, so how can you tell me or anyone else how great it is.

I'm sorry axxe I didn't remember singling u out. All I said is how can the people how dog it do that if they have not shot one?? Also I never said a 770 shoots bad or did I? I'm not sure ur the expert. I said the quality is deff a lot better ton a 770 vs 783. Not to sure about u but my eyes work good enough to see a deff. Maybe axxe after u build a couple hundred molds u can come talk to me a quality. Lol. I said I was new in the gun seen never said I was an extreme expert like u axxe.

I haven't had a chance to examine a 783 in detail, so I haven't commented on it.

I haven't shot a 770, but I have taken one apart and looked closely at the pieces. That was plenty for me to decide that it was poorly made, poorly fitted and poorly finished. I don't care if it shoots acceptably because there are other rifles in the same price range that shoot just as well and are FAR better made, such as the Marlin X7, the Savage Axis, the Ruger American, etc, etc, etc.

just exactly how old are you? your posts read like they were written by an immature teenager. i can barely make out what message you are trying to convey here other than trying to ridicule me, or are you trying to start an argument?

i never commented on the M783, other than i hope it was an improvement over the M770. and i also said i would reserve making a judgement about it's quality or accuracy until such time.

i never once said i was an expert, but i do have a lot of experiance in owning and shooting many, many different rifles over the years.

couple hundred molds? WTF does that mean? why dont you try using some punctuation and grammar instead of childish text talk and try posting like an adult that has some sense.

If i may interject as a gentleman. I do believe that this childish banter, the child being on one side, and an unamed gentlman on the other, is pointless.
The 783 is likely a better model, it is hard to be worse than the 770. Having never even SEEN a 783 in person, i shall limit my comments on it to that. The 770 however, how shall i put this, is similar to scraping the black stuff off burnt toast, and then calling the black stuff superior to the toast itself. To summarize it in a word, it is "icky".

Alrighty...the 770 IS the scraping of burnt toast. The 783 is probably the toast that the 770 was scraped from and Axxe will never capitalize the first word of any sentance. The clouds have finally parted!

simple fact, i am not an expert on firearms by any means, but i do have quite a few years experiance owning and shooting them.

a certain person might do himself a huge favor at checking his attitude at the log in if he wants his stay on this forum to be a pleasant one. many of us here have little tolerance at insults and personal attacks, as do the mods here. learning to grow a thicker skin would serve him quite well too. when simple facts are pointed out to him, ruffle his feathers or hurt his delicate sensibilities, then again his stay here on this forum will not be a pleasant one.

another thing that will not win him many friends is the childish text talk posts. many of us older members and even many of the younger members find it disrespectful to use text talk to write a post. a lot of the older guyswon't even waste their time even replying to them. just some friendly suggestions for taht person if he wishes for his stay here to be a pleasant one.
