DefaultRemington 700 SPS

Hey guys, just bought this rifle for $550 brand new...first of all, is the sps and the sps varment the same thing? I bought it onthe .308 btw, and going to need a scope...he has A bushnell for $100, it's a 3-9 variable power and is clean and brand new, I might be able to talk him down to $85 or $90 cash, I've sent a lot of business his way so u can say we're pretty close. Anyways, I don't want to spend a lot, but obviously w That nice a rifle, I gotta have good glass...what's ur take? (Idk a lot bout glass in the first place) also, who makes a really good bipod for a reasonable price?

Thanks for ur help

Harris makes a really good bipod for about $100. As far as glass, for that I would go for a bushnell trophy 3-9x40 if you want to stay cheap. Otherwise I would get either a bushnell elite 3200, or a burris full field 2.

When you pick the scope you want check the price at Opticsplanet. I've received good customer service and fast shipping from them.

I'd recommend you set a lower limit of 150-160$. For that price you can choose between a nikon prostaff 3x-9x-40mm, A Burris Fullfield 2 in 3x-9x-40mm, or a weaver 2x-10x-38mm. The Bushnell Elite 3200 in 3x-9x-40mm should run about 200$.
