Yep I have one of those. Upgraded the stock and the trigger and I would not sell this gun period. Solid, accurate shooter that will serve my heirs well as we take good care of it and don't shoot a box of ammo thru it at the range.

unfortunately Chloeshooter, i have no heirs. so i'll just have to take care of mine and shoot them alot!

I love the Remington 700! Here is mine in .308. image-2056296590.jpg It used to be a SPS-V... Not any more! First thing I did was ditch the synthetic stock. Then I added the detachable 10 round mag. Feeds much smoother. Very very accurate rifle.

Do they make an older remington 700 sps ss? I really like the ss and I don't know how long they have been making the specific gun?

Yes, its about $700. Also with a heavy barrel and muzzle threaded for 1K+.
