The remington custom shop has a few tactical/sub-moa/sniper rifles you could look at on their website.

The Remington AAC-sd is plenty accurate. This is a three shot group out of mine shooting my hand loads.

I just picked up my first rifle. A Mossberg 100ATR .308. I have yet to fire it but all the reviews i read and watched placed it among the Remmington 700 in performance but much cheaper. I got mine for $275. I don't have much experience but based on the reading I have done, if you find a Remminton 700 for around $400 dollars it would be a better investment. If not the Mossberg seems like the better rifle for the price. Just my two cents which may be worth significantly less than two.

There is a pretty good article on the history of the Rem. 700 in the current (Jan. 2013) issue of Guns & Ammo magazine.
