Default Remington 700

I like Mcmillan stocks, but they are out of my price range. Any suggestions on stocks that look the same but are more affordable?

check out H-S Precision and Bell & Carlson. both are very high quality synthetic stocks and have an excellent reputation. both also have been around awhile. check out MidwayUSA for excellent prices on them along with very good CS and fast shipping.

Good advice above

I just ordered these from Midway for my SPS Varmint 308. I'll let you know my thoughts on both tomorrow when they arrive.

I'll probably end up keeping the B&C for the adjustability but if the H-S feels good I may keep that because with what I save over the B&C I can get a jewel trigger.

Zeusecho, i haven't used that particular style of the Bell & Carlson stock, more the traditional style, but from my past experiance with their products, i would not hesitate in either using them again or recommending them. i think you will be plenty happy with it. glad you found one that you like.
