how much do remington 700 cost usually i see some bout 400 with no scope and some 2000 with a scope,are people tryin to rip me off or are the scopes actually that good.also are is the .308 ammo expensive?

There are several variants of the Remington 700,the ADL-BDL & CDL. This particular line is what you generally see at Wal Mart and other sporting good stores.

Remington also has a 700 police and military line. These 700's are manufactured to different degrees of modification making them more accurate then your average 700.

Scopes can be expensive. Generally, expect to pay as much for a quality scope as you did for the rifle it will be attached to. $500 for rifle $500 for scope is middle of the road.
