Default Remington 03-A3

I have a U.S. Remington Model 03-A3. The serial number is 3347748. This does not coincide with any 03-A3 number, but rather, an M1903 number.

Anyone have any ideas?

The 03 a3 (Which I hope you know is a 1903 a3 rifle) has a sight on the reciever the 1903 sight is on the barrel. The barrel band, bayonet lug assembly are milled, the rear of the receiver is clean, and the front handguard ends in front of the rear sight.

The trigger guard on the 03 is a nice looking piece of milled steel. On the 03A3 the trigger guard is stamped and spot-welded; ugly, in other words.

Hope this helps to determine which one you have.

Default 03-a3

No, it is definitely that model. I went to three serial number websites and two had my rifle as an A-3 (Dec 42-barrel matches that Date also) and one had it as a 1903.

Thanks,

Hal

Post some pics of it ( hopefully clear pics) You may have parts of one put on the other, or an arsenal rebuilt one. The barrel may have been put on by another owner for unknown reasons. We will help the best we can
