Rem 700 vs Win 70 vs Ruger 77, all in 300 win mag

I'm debating on picking up one of these rifles and I wanted to know which one is more accurate out of the box since I'd be hunting with it

All three will shoot minute of venison from the jump.

Of those three I am partial to the Ruger. But there is a all three are still top sellers.

If the Ruger is the model with the safety on the bolt, you will find the trigger is much improved over the M77 with the tang safety.

My order of preference, 1) Ruger, 2) Remington, 3) Winchester. YMMV.

Pick the one that you like best.

The one that is more accurate is sometimes more about the luck of the draw. Add savage to the group and buy that Or add montana rifles and buy there american rifle.. Ruger seems to be makeing a sold rifle to day. Remmington can turn out a great rifle and a complete turd. Winchester ,not today. Old yes. Flip a coin over savage and ruger. But do look at montana rifles- american rifle.

I hope Ruger has a better sight mounting system than they used to have.

I have a Remington. Had a Ruger once, but got rid of it. Traded it back to the dealership for the Remington, and I have been happy with the .300 RUM ever since.

In the end, my totally unscientific observation is that the person pulling the trigger has more impact on hunting accuracy than the firearm itself.

Wonder why you had problems with your ruger when so many of use don't . You could also use leupold ,reffield , burris or millet rings for ruger.

I am spculating he is referring to how the mounts attach to the receiver.

I concur with you, never had any issues with Ruger mounts or Leupold mounts on a Ruger rifle.

I still won't buy a Ruger. They had accuracy issues that could only be fixed w/ a re-barrel. I will say the newer rifles really are a throw back to a classic Mauser. That is a positive.

I'd buy a Rem 700 or a Win 70 long before I'd ever touch a Ruger 77.I just never had one that would shoot very good without doing a lot of work to them.
But,I'd really look at Tikka,CZ-USA,or Savage before any of the above, they are just better rifles in my opinion.
