AAA but if you put it on gunbroker and say it is a rare custom sniper nagant you will get $1500 for it. Just put a tasco 3-9x40mm prong horn scope on it. for $300 you just made $1500 for a total Profit of $1200.

Just took a look at that thread; very nice! Make me want to go find a reliable rifle that looks like hammered **** and dress her up.

Default Great Info

Hey y'all, thanks for all the great info feel free to keep the thread alive if you wish, I have been able to get some great information. I was going to just message the persons who I would like to get a little more detail from on their techniques if that is alright.

Trauter, I know that it probably won't be worth how much time, effort and money I put into the rifle but I will be proud to call it mine and proud of my efforts. This is more about the first experience of refinishing a rifle so that in the future if I wish to try it on other rifles, ones say that perhaps would gain value from a refinishing/reblueing, I will have the confidence in my self to do so. Being only 16 and this my first refinish I am glad that I have a cheap gun to mess up if I do it badly or perhaps by some twist of fate make it look a little better, I am willing to take that chance on this gun. Thank you for you concerns though and I appriciate your posting them.

Canebrake, uh oh. You have given me a fever. hahaha I really like how your project turned out and can't wait till I have a chance to do something like that. It will be a while but I am excited. Thanks for the input.........hmmmmm....I wonder how that would look on a Mosin..........

Thanks again every one you are such a wonderful resource for all Newbie shooters that find their way onto this website. I hope that someday I will be able to help out other newbies as well some day. If you as me the art of shooting seems to becoming a lost art. However that could be just my location and surroundings. Either way, keep it alive. Thanks all.

Krylon rebuilds are ok on a mosin. Dude not to down talk your rifle but there are billions of them and some will go nuts that you did something different to a milsurp. But most of us here say go for it your rifle is your canvas. I think someone posted pics of a stock on rimfire central where he painted the ghosts from pac-man on it. It looked like crap but he liked it.

If you want a cool looking camo patern try going to walmart and getting some womens fishnet stocking (Yes like the hookers wear) put a tan base coat on your gun then let it dry and pull the fish nets over it and then spray with different earth tone colors for a neat camo affect.
