Can you convert a M&P15 .22 to fire a .223 / 5.56 ?

What he said ^^^.

You cannot put a 5.56 upper on there for a couple of reasons-
First, the size of the upper/ lower is different between the .22 LR and a regular AR.
Second, the .22 rimfire has no buffer.
What we have here is... failure- to communicate.
