Not that i know of. I could easily be wrong. Since you're on a low budget im assuming you wouldnt be able to have a custom stock done for the rifle? If you dont like the stock, look for a different rifle. Your comfort and compatibility with the rifle is the most important part of buying a new one. The savage axis is close to your budget have you looked at those?

Yea from what I've read and seen of the Axis..it's sub-par to the Ruger & Stevens 200. My budget is about 350 or so well at least that's what i'm shooting for.

I don't know if you've actually handled any of the Americans yourself or not but I handled several last weekend at a gun shop close to me. I didn't think the stocks were bad at all, real nice recoil pad on them and really felt pretty solid overall. The gun itself is just a nice piece, a really fine gun. I don't think you could go wrong with one of them.

If you really want to stay at 350 or so, look for a used rifle. You will never find a good NEW rifle for 350 and have room for a scope. Look for a used remmy 700 if it already has a scope on it you can get from 250-450 depending on the seller and condition.

more than likely not any aftermarket stocks for the Ruger American yet as new as it is to the market.
