Default Post 64 Winchester 94 .30-30 for southpaw?

I'm coming close to trading for a 1974 model but I'm concerned about the ejection. Am I going to get hit in the face by hot brass? Would I have to take my eye off the sights?

Sorry but the Model 94 Winchester is probably the most ambidextrous rifle ever, pretty much straight up & back.
