I am looking at getting the 40 cal High Point carbine. I have it in 9 mm. And love it. Have had no problems with it at all.

Yes, I have held one, I almost bought one instead of this Uzi. The HiPoint is an amazing deal for the money, nothing against it. Didn't mean to imply that it is a Glock but in appearance, to me, it seems plasticky, due to the all plastic furniture. I like the HiPoint, rugged, American made, inexpensive and reliable. I may still get one at some point. The only thing I didn't care for was the trigger, it is pretty bad. But FWIW, the trigger on my Vector Uzi was just as bad, but I sent it off to Bill Springfield, the trigger guy in Colorado and he improved it immensely.

There's a lot of dead hogs here in Georgia that have been shot with 5.56 trophy bonded bearclaws. Of course a lot have been shot with .30-30s .35 Rem, .44 Mag and .357 a well as modern and primative bows.

A .45 ACP would not be my first choice. I'd take a rifle or a magnum pistol round before settling for a .45. .460 Rowland might be interesting.

If your looking to take down a hog with a pistol caliber carbine, go with the 40. It has way better ballistics than the 45. It is an aggressive round. With both punch and penetration.

Anybody make a carbine in 460 instead of a revolver, or would that be too neat of a gun?

That would be cool. Or in a 357 round.
