Painting Stock or whole rifle?
Ok so I am building a parts list for a semicustom home built Hunting rifle.
The action is a savage Varmint with detachable mag and a .473" bolt face. I havent decided on caliber yet. Might do a 260 rem or a 25-308 (25 Souper). Not sure yet. Thanks to switchbarrel I have my stock a Stockade Woodchuck.
Optics are not set yet either.
Back on topic I am using a stainless action and a stainless barrel. I am just wondering if I should have them both painted together or leave the metal alone.

I personally don't care for the barrel or action being painted, although one of my rifles is that way.
The stainless will look awesome with the stock you picked.

I voted stock only. I've never really liked the look of rifles that are totally painted. Just my opinion.
