I own a 336c in .30 WCF and like the rifle very much. Don't hunt with it as Illinois is a shotgun only state. Great to shoot at the range, though. Nice overall dimensions and accurate at 100 yards. Given my old eyes that's a pretty good range. The ammo is readily avalable and inexpensive relatively speaking.
As said by others, .30 - 30 is not an extremely powerful cartridge. That said, I still like the rifle and the the nostalgia of a lever action. Another good thing, it doesn't beat either your shoulder or your wallet too badly during the time at the range.
