I have both a 700 and a 70 they are a horse a peice, both great guns.
I have .300 magnums, but my fav is my 7mm Rem mag!!! I would suggest
either 70 or 700 in 7mm Rem Mag.
My next rifle I am building off an old Mauser action, .25-06.

I got one im cleaning it now, an yes its a .300 WIN MAG, NOT A WSM !!!! It wears a leupold vx6 2x12 an yes her is perty.

Ohhhh now u did it a 25/06 the amazing lil ghost of the plains. The 25/06 has a place in my heart as well.

But it did have a miss hap last yr, I was on a bruiser of a muledeer buck ,I posted a pic of him a while back, any way I crawled nearly 200 yrds to get a 405 yrd shot an as I was getting ready for the shot I drug her across a big ol rock an scratched the bottom of the stock. I was pissed for weeks, I never drag my gun but for some reason I did that morning.

Yes I did, dont listen to marlinmonkey, its the 8x6 I posted last october. The buck scored 209 5/8. So the scratch was kinda worth it???
