That sounds good, except I'm not in Florida! And hogs aren't a problem yet right here in my area, not much of hunting them. Oh there's a few, and some people hunt them, but right here they haven't become the problem that they are in other places, at least not yet.

OK your in Northern Fla.! Ole' Miss sounds good! My Brother lives in Hernando Fla. Thought it might be kinda close. A few hours. Lots of pigs.

Ha ha, yeah it might as well be north florida, it gets hot and muggy enough! But that would be Hernando MS, just south of Memphis TN.

I have taken two deer with a 1943 Lee Enfield No 4 with only iron sights. I like to think that my rifle has been used to killed both deer and Nazis.

I have a 1942 No4 FTR'ed in 1952, 1/3 trigger upgrade. Love that rifle!

More then any other action/ rifle type, I have Classic Mausers. Just something about the wood stocks and smooth, strong action. I sold a few off, so I'm down to 9 or so.

Anybody use a Gunsmoke powered by carbide (methane) to blacken iron sights?

I do. Does this make me and Al Freeland old school?

I know Birchwood Casey makes the spray on stuff but I've got carbide to last a lifetime and it's always cause to start a conversation at the range.
