Okay so I have been watching this thread quite a bit to see what guns people were posting. All amazing firearms btw! I couldn't resist and had to post one of my day's guns because he loves older Winchesters and Colt's and has a pretty nice collection.

Here is his most recent purchase, a Winchester model 1866 in 44 Caliber Rim Fire. The gun was manufactured in 1882 and what makes it even more rare is that the manufacturer used parts from the first model manufacture date and serial number of this gun and placed them on a fourth model frame. We know this because the serial number indicates a manufacture date of 1882, but the gun was shipped from the factory in 1887. It is the barrel and magazine that are of first model manufacture, that is why you see the 44 R.F. on the barrel base, the flat faces barrel end and independent recessed end screw of the magazine.

When the Ipod got stolen, so did all my pics. I'll be back here when I can find a camera.

Really enjoying all of the Cool Old Guns!! Very nice.

I don't see any Colts yet?
Here's a 1851 Colt/Navy that I also bought at my Great Uncles estate sale back in 1986.

The wife even decorated the gun safe lol
