Default the old ball and chain.....

How do I justify to my wife that I need, not want, another rifle?

Go buy it and tell her you won it in a shoot. Tell her why current gun is unacceptable for intended use. Tell her you will save so much money on ammo the gun will pay for itself. Tell her its a collectors item and an investment that will gain value. Tell her you're buying it and remind her you're the one with the guns.
Need any more? Lol

Do you have a safe?

If not, get one.

Then take only one gun at a time out of aforementioned safe.

Problem solved.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

It is easier to ask forgiveness than permission. I recently faced your same dilemma, I shopped around for what rifle I wanted, told her about on a daily basis, finally got the go head. In return I sweetened the deal with flowers. They seem to take it a little easier when you show up with a new gun. Express the concept you can never own enough guns.

So, I guess just saying "Hey, I don't pester you every time

you get a perm or tube of lipstick, do I, puke-waffle?"

is out of the question...

It's damn near impossible to get more guns with my wife. She is so anti guns. Love her to death but tend to Piss her off cause I go buy them anyway. Lol.

Another member has discovered his wife has been "sleep shopping" online, and has been talking about trying that excuse. Maybe you could try it too and let us know how it works!

If I have my way, I won't be having to justify gun purchases it seems.

What she doesn't know doesn't hurt her. I save every dollar bill and all my change. Our agreement is that I can spent it however I want.
