Default Ok tough guys

My 12 year old daughter in formed me she wants to hunt this fall so what dose a good dad do "short of buying a new 708" i took my 270 win and cut 2'' off the stock and reinstalled the recoil pad took her across the river and let her shoot my 22- 250 a couple of times she hit ma basket ball size rock both times then she shot the 270 twice and hit the same rock twice she was sitting and resting off a pole on a buck rail fence then she tried pron but her arms were not long enough to see the target so she took my shooting sticks and shot the rock again mist bad the forth time she said she flinch so she shot the 22-250 2 more times and hit the rock both times. I shot the rock with my 7 mag rock rolled down the hill next time she will have to pick a new rock. ;-)

EXCELLENT! I'd suggest you get managed Remington recoil loads for her. They reduce recoil in the .270 by 1/2.

That's great stuff Josh. You must be a very proud father. Please tell your daughter for me that I think she rocks!

Right on Josh. I cut 2" off the stock of a .308 for my 12 y/o daughter, loaded some 165 grain Noslers for her, she did OK.

"OUTSTANDING" Keep her interested and attentive to as much firearms, shooting and hunting as long as you can Josh.

It will hopefully delay that inevitable father-stressed phase of makeup and boys.

Sounds like a great time!!! I can only hope that if I have a daughter she will show an interest in hunting or the outdoors in general.

This is outstanding Josh. Load some lighter loads for her and plenty of them at that. Let her shoot all she wants. No better way to allow our youngsters to love and appreciate firearms like we do but to get out there and teach them properly.
