Here's a news flash for you. I was in the service when the M16 came into service. They were crap and they stayed crap for a long time. They've improved greatly over the years and that's fine. They're just not for me. I don't spend time knocking them or stating that the Mini is better, life is too short for such bullsh*t. If you need to inject yourself into this thread, then try to add something useful.

When I took it for its first range trip, I shot two types of steel (Wolf & Tula) and brass as well. It ate them all just fine. This is my fourth mini and all of them ate steel cased ammo without a hiccup. It's a dependable platform and I have history with it.

In any case, play on words intended (like many things I know you won't get that -- just move on), the Ruger 30 owners manual you don't have and wouldn't read or understand if you did apparently, says to use U.S., i.e. brass, ammo. And for a reason. They are so much less reliable with steel ammo to the extent that the point had to be made to customers.

I couldn't care what bad things happen to you now CA357 and, heaven forgive me, I actually hope they do, but there are other readers here who are decent folk.

I get sick of the AR/Mini arguments, the 9mm vs .45ACP arguments, the Glock vs anything else wars and so on. Your post came across as smartazz to me. If I misunderstood your post, I apologize for my rant.
