Craniums aren't very elastic. BTW, what is the % of fluid in the brain vs other tissues, and what about the brains tissue integrity when compared to others?

I dunno, am simply asking. I'm not a fan of comparing apples to oranges..........oranges..........yeah Re-Animator LOL.

IMHO WW2 studies might have serious issues with their raw data, and or the collection/crunching of it.

And no study by a Dr was ever corrupted by politics..................

Be careful though...... global warming will change what we know of ballistics......
I heard it from this Berkley dude that you'll be able to blow a deer in half with a .22 mag.

Notice in the stuff cited.......the usage of the words "appear" and "if I had to pick".

None of those incorporating statements says anything definitive.

Establishing a trend, does not mean the answer was found. Might be on the right path, might not.

Big changes and advancements in medicine, modeling and other have happened since WW2.

I dunno how all the stuff I mention previously factors (or doesn't factor), but they IMHO offer questions that need answers before we can just make some claim based on a casual view.

People, People the 300 blackout is not a deer round. You can get 2200 FPS with a 110 gr bullet. The 110 gr Hp bullet is for varmints, not deer. The round nose and the fmj are for the M1 carbine round.

If you want a 30 caliber round in a AR go with the 30 AR Remington. It will give you 2575 FPS using a 150 gr bullet. That is close to 308 Winchester power. Using a 125 gr bullet made for taking deer, you will get 2800 FPS. The black out don't even come close to the 30 AR. Why would you want to put your self at such a disadvantage with the black out?

The 300 black out is just a rework of the old 300 Whisper that JDJ came up with for the military to use in a M16 by just changing out the upper. It was intended to be used suppressed out to 200 yards using big bullets. Like 180 to 240 gr.

I understand if you want something to play with. That is part of the fun of guns, so many choices. It just wasn't built to hunt with. You want it suppressed go for it. Have a ball with it. Just, please don't hunt with it. There are just to many better choices to hunt with. Just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth.

My hunting buddy has an AR in 7.62x39 and it has been dandy for dropping deer and hogs, cheap to shoot, hits alot harder then the 223. 300 Blackout is ballisticly the same thing just with less case taper sould work fine but I would still prefer a real 308 just in case I run across some 200+yd shots, none of the AR15 calibers except the 6.5 Grendal are good for that.
