new 7mm
Why don't you call it the seven seventyfive, or the seven seven five? I think it has a nice "ring" to it. WDYT?

I have actually already necked down the 375 Ruger down to 338 cal with a sharper shoulder. My cartridge shoots great from my 15" Encore pistol. I am currently working on getting custom brass made with my cartridge headstamp. Plus my next project is putting a 18.5" barrel on a new mauser action and chambering it for my cartridge. My uncle and I are still working on different loads/velocities for this cartridge. But with the load settled on (prior to hunting season) is getting excellent accuracy. This cartridge has already taken down a couple deer in their tracks. So, I would either suggest .308 or .284(7mm) for your cartridge as those are the next two that I was thinking about creating. If you have any questions feel free to send me a PM and I will respond as soon as possible.

I havn't had a chance to do much on finalizing it yet. I have both rougher & finishing reamer, that way when I get back on it I'll be able to ream my own forming/loading dies. Just have had a little bad luck with health here lately. I'll be getting back on it soon. Neil

I feel this will make a outstanding round with substantial increase over 7mm rem or 300 win while staying within standard length action. Let's have a vote to see what yall think I orta build 1st. I'm kinda partial to 7mm diameter bullets myself.

stalkingbear,
How's the 7mm-375 looking?? I saw the case and thought likewise in the .284 caliber. Did you have the reamer made yet?? I am interested

Sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better! Any chance of loading some pics of what you got going so far? Production process?

Good news! My brainchild creation is grouping UNDER 1/2" at 200 yards while traveling 3375 with an 140 gr bullet. Remember this is from an standard length 06 action. I'm sure I'll be able to increase velocity without sacrificing accuracy as I work more with loads for it. Neil

I looked at the 3rd Ed of The HANDLOADER'S Manual Of Cartridge Conversions . The Ruger round was not listed. What is the case capacity( Gr of water) ?? There are a bunch of good bullets to be had in the .264., 284, and 308 Dia. Then there is the question of rifleing. Will you be using an heavy bullet (fast twist 1-9) or light bullets (slow twist 1-12) . Give us more details , like 20 or a 26 inch barrel...Over the years there has ben hunderds of wild cats..Give me the Gr of water capacity of the case , What you plan on shootin, target at 1000 Yds or pronghorn, or elk, and then I,ll give you a bore diameter..

I'd lay odds that if made for 6.5, it'd give the 6.5 Creedmore round a run for it's money.
