Awful pics.

What he means is:

Pics of markings, the top if the receiver, and the rear of the bolt may be more useful in identifying the rifle.

Kinda looks like an Arisaka to me, but I could be wrong, it's happened before:p

It is a Carcano..................Its the Japanese Carcano Type I Rifle.

Its either a Type 30 or a Type I (Italian made). I need pics of the top of the receiver, and the safety would help.... Does it still have its "Mum"??

Not really, they just didn't show the right angles of the parts photographed and are kinda fuzzy.

We have a winner! The safety is Carcano, the hole in the stock for
the magazine box is way too wide for the regular Carcano single stack
bottom metal.

Pretty much the only thing it can be is a Type I. Or what's left of one.:(

Do you think it might of been demilitarized?

As in "rendered inert and incapable of firing"? Probably not. Check the bore
to see if it has a hole through it, and check the barrel for holes drilled in it
to be sure.

It actually looks fairly complete. It's missing the magazine box, the
bottom metal (trigger guard, magazine follower/spring, the hinged door
that covers the magazine etc.) It's also missing at least the trigger,
and maybe some other parts that make it go bang.

It's a Type I, which is a bit rarer than your run of the mill type 99. Might
be worth getting it back up and running in it's original configuration.
Problem is that it's a Type I------I have no idea what might fit it for
parts or where to find them. I'm sure someone will be along shortly
with superior knowledge on the subject, amazing what some of the
people on these forums know!:)
