Just a heads up about that bipod. It will fall apart quickly. I also had put one on a CZ527 .223 Varminter. That lasted about a month. Bought a Harris, much better. You'll love that rifle!!!! I have one w/ a Sightron SII6.5-20x42mmAO. It is quite the tack driver.

Do they make guns like this in 5.56 so you can use that or 223?

I recently discovered CZ. Awesome guns! I bought a 453 in 17 HMR. There is also a used CZ 550 in 308 at the gun shop with a $1,100 Leupold scope and a Harris bi-pod on it for $950. Very well taken care of. I took the wife over to see it, but I don't think it's going to end up under the tree on Tues.

I'm not sure if they do or not. That sounds like a really good deal for that gun.

I have the 527 American sporter barrel with a maple stock. It has a 1:12 twist and tolerates 55 grain but loves the 45 grain bullets. Took me a little while to get used to the set trigger. I blew a few rounds because I touched it a little too hard.

Yup, that's what I thought, too.

Same here. That trigger is almost too light. When I clean it, I'm going to put some weight back on.

That's a nice rifle. I think you're gonna have to tell us about the predators it gets over in the Hunting forum!

CZ uses a CIP chamber. Safe for 5.56 or .223. Using 5.56 will not void the warrentee as it was designed for it.

Depends on What I shoot out of it. PMC bronze 55gr FMJ will shoot 1.5". Hornady 55gr BT's shoot 1/2". Coyote 55gr sp shoot 3/4". Handloads w/ Speer 52gr are better then Hornadys, so are Barnes 53gr and 62gr sierra are about the same. Still have a bunch of different bullets to try. I love the single set trigger. Using it in 2 stage is fine, the single set takes it to a different level. Just takes some getting use to.
